Designers Ryan Fisher, Andrew Conzett, and Colin Conces are working with Mark Pluhacek and chef Zeb Rogers of Mark’s Bistro to create an elevation station for the June 3rd event.

Pluhacek and Rogers plan to serve locally sourced, spit-roasted lamb alongside vegetables and greens grown in the restaurant’s rooftop planters.

Fisher, Conzett, and Conces plan to create a shelter and serving station for the chef’s team and guests using materials such as hot-rolled steel, wax, coal slag, and wood reclaimed from an Arlington, NE tractor shed. The group has taken a slow design approach that has focused on gathering, manipulating, and crafting these raw materials at a 1:1 scale – similar to the way a chef may prepare his ingredients prior to cooking.

The team hopes that the food and building materials combine to create a unique experience that heightens Elevate participants’ senses and intensifies the experience of outdoor dining.
